Healing and Justice Through Trauma-Informed Care
I’m Elia Johnson, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker offering trauma-informed therapy for individuals seeking healing, growth, and a deeper connection to self. With over a decade of experience in forensic social work, I help clients navigate the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions with compassion, curiosity, and care.
My therapeutic approach integrates traditional talk therapy with mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. As a 500-hour yoga teacher, I support clients in calming the nervous system, reconnecting with the body, and building resilience through a holistic mind-body practice.
In addition to working with individual clients, I provide clinical supervision for social workers seeking reflective guidance and professional growth. I also offer trauma-informed evaluations, expert court testimony, and trainings for legal and mental health professionals who want to deepen their understanding of trauma and justice-involved populations.
My work is grounded in the belief that healing and justice are deeply interconnected—and that every person’s story deserves to be understood and honored in its full complexity.
I offer in-person therapy on the Connecticut shoreline and virtual sessions throughout Connecticut and New York.
